Pool/Billiard Table Lights

FAQs

  • How high should I hang my light fixture above the billiard table?

For the best visibility and to avoid player interference, the bottom of the light fixture should typically hang 30 to 32 inches above the playing surface (the slate). This provides even illumination across the table while minimizing shadows under the rails.

  • Why should I choose a “billiard light” over a standard dining room chandelier?

Billiard lights are specifically designed to be long or multi-shade to cast an even spread of light across the entire rectangular surface. Standard fixtures often create “hot spots” in the center and dark shadows in the corners, which can affect your aim.

  • Do your lights match the wood finishes of your tables?

Yes. We offer lighting collections that incorporate the same exotic hardwoods and metal finishes used in our tables, ensuring your game room has a professional, “designer-curated” look.

  • What wattage should I use for optimal play?

We recommend using LED bulbs that provide a “cool white” or “daylight” spectrum (around 4000K–5000K). This helps in clearly distinguishing ball colors (like the 7 and 15) and reduces eye strain during long sessions.

  • Are these lights difficult to install?

Our fixtures use standard mounting hardware, but because they are often heavy and positioned over a valuable table, we recommend professional electrical installation to ensure they are perfectly centered and securely fastened.
