- The Ten Off: This is the area just before the Cushion. If you get your weight into this zone, you will earn two points.
- The Eight Off: This is the area in the middle of the shuffleboard table. If you get your weight into this zone, you will earn one point.
- The Alley: This is the area at the beginning of the shuffleboard table. If your weight falls into this area, you will lose one point.
How to Score Points
To score points in shuffleboard, you must first understand the scoring zones. As we mentioned before, there are four scoring zones on a shuffleboard table: The Cushion, the Ten Off, the Eight Off, and the Alley.
The Cushion is worth three points, the Ten Off is worth two points, and the Eight Off is worth one point.
If your weight falls into the Alley, you will lose one point
To score points, you must slide your shuffleboard weights down the table and into one of the scoring zones. The closer to the end of the table you can get your weight, the more points you will earn.
You can also score points by knocking your opponent’s weights out of the way.
The game is over when all players have used up all of their weights or when one player has reached a score of 21 or higher. The player with the most points at the end of the game is the winner!
