FAQs
You should brush your table after every long session or at least once a week. Always brush in one direction (from the center toward the pockets) to keep the “nap” of the cloth flat and remove abrasive chalk dust.
Never use a vacuum with a rotating brush, as it can stretch or tear the felt. You may use a specialized handheld vacuum or a hose attachment with a soft brush, but traditional brushing is safest for the cloth’s longevity.
If the balls sound like a “thud” or don’t bounce back energetically when hitting the rail, your rubber may have “gone dead.” Our high-quality K-66 profile rubber is designed to last many years, but it can be replaced by a professional to restore the table’s playability.
You can use a dedicated billiard ball cleaner or a simple mixture of warm water and a drop of mild dish soap. Wipe them with a microfiber cloth to remove oils and dirt, which prevents them from transferring grime to your cloth.
Beeswax is used by professional installers to fill the tiny seams between the three pieces of slate. This creates a perfectly seamless, level playing surface. If you notice a “bump” where the slates meet, it may be time for a professional re-level and wax.
